Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before hitting the slopes.
How do I determine the correct ski length for my height and skill level?
Generally, skis should reach somewhere between your chin and the top of your head. Beginners should opt for shorter skis for better control, while advanced skiers may prefer longer skis for stability at high speeds. Check our detailed Size Guide on each product page for specific recommendations.
Do my new skis come pre-waxed and sharpened?
Yes, all skis purchased from Durango Ski come with a factory tune, meaning they are waxed and the edges are sharpened. However, for peak performance in specific snow conditions, we recommend a professional custom wax after your first few runs.
What is your return policy for winter gear?
We offer a 30-day return policy on all unused items in their original packaging. Please note that for safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on skis that have already been mounted with bindings unless there is a manufacturing defect.
How long does shipping take for heavy equipment?
Standard shipping typically takes 3-7 business days within the continental US. Due to the size of skis and snowboards, these items are shipped via specialized carriers to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
Do you offer binding mounting services?
If you purchase both skis and bindings in the same order, we offer complimentary mounting. You will be prompted to provide your boot sole length (BSL), weight, and skier type during the checkout process to ensure a safe and accurate DIN setting.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and interest-free installment plans through Affirm, allowing you to gear up now and pay over time.
